Track 1
Track 1 projects are projects that are screened by Port Metro Vancouver (PMV) and not by the Fraser River Estuary Management Program (FREMP) Environmental Review Committee (ERC).
Through considerable discussion between Port Metro Vancouver and the environmental
agencies that make up the ERC (Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Environment
Canada and Ministry of Water, Land and Air Protection), all the
participants have agreed to the following criteria:
- Guidelines/Best
Management Practices (BMP's) are in place
- Adverse
effects on habitat (fish, wildlife, etc.) are unlikely
- Adverse
effects (environmental and related economic/social) are unlikely
- Little
public interest
- Listed
